<p><em>C&rsquo;est le site internet de L&rsquo;argus qui annonce ce changement du logo Peugeot de manière catégorique ce matin. Une « quasi-officialisation » qui vient largement confirmer les nombreuses rumeurs qui couraient depuis un long moment déjà.</em></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Le concept e-Legend, l&rsquo;annonciatrice</h2>



<p>Elle n&rsquo;était pas passée inaperçue lors du salon de Paris 2018, c&rsquo;en était même la star absolument incontestée. La Peugeot e-Legend, dont nous vous avions très largement parlé  <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/photographie/en-images-le-concept-car-peugeot-e-legend-concept-6090/">ici</a>, <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/interviews/rencontre-avec-nicolas-brissonneau-designer-exterieur-du-peugeot-e-legend-concept-86/">ici</a>, <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/interviews/rencontre-avec-christophe-pialat-designer-interieur-du-peugeot-e-legend-concept-84/">ici</a> et encore <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/peugeot-revele-son-nouveau-concept-car-e-legend-concept-5978/">ici</a>, annonçait clairement la couleur. Tous les observateurs avaient bien entendu beaucoup glosé sur son style : spectaculaire, envoutant, savamment néo-rétro&#8230; Mais beaucoup avaient également bien remarqué que le clin d’œil poussé à la 504 coupé d&rsquo;antan s&rsquo;accompagnait d&rsquo;un logo, lui aussi néo-rétro mais légèrement modernisé, qui ne pouvait être totalement gratuit.</p>

<p>Plusieurs médias avaient d&rsquo;ailleurs posé la question aux responsables de chez Peugeot à l&rsquo;époque&#8230; sans obtenir de réponse affirmative. Mais sans obtenir de démenti farouche non plus. Rajoutez à ce concept la statue monumentale du fauve exposée à Genève dès 2018, qui interrogeait elle aussi sur la question de l&rsquo;identité de la marque, et il n&rsquo;en fallait pas plus pour que la rumeur, persistante, se propage quant à la possibilité de voir le Lion se métamorphoser une nouvelle fois.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Le logo Peugeot et ses Lions</h2>



<p>Il faut dire que le logo de la marque de Sochaux n&rsquo;en n&rsquo;est pas à sa première mue. Présent dès 1848 sur les toutes premières productions de l&rsquo;entreprise, qui n&rsquo;étaient pas encore des automobiles, il prend place sur les véhicules à partir de 1905 et évoluera régulièrement par la suite comme on peut le voir ci-dessous :</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">La Peugeot 308 III : le porte-drapeau</h2>



<p>La future compacte de Peugeot n&rsquo;est attendue que pour le printemps de l&rsquo;année prochaine. Sa présentation sera naturellement essentielle pour la marque puisque, d&rsquo;une part, il s&rsquo;agira du remplacement d&rsquo;un des modèles phares du renouveau de la marque et, d&rsquo;autre part, elle aura la charge de continuer la montée en gamme progressive d&rsquo;un Lion qui vise toujours plus étroitement le titre de généraliste premium, façon Volkswagen.</p>



<p>Si les informations sur la 308 de 3e génération sont <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/a-la-une/scoop-la-peugeot-308-iii-debusquee-pour-la-premiere-fois-215103/">pour le moment assez comptées</a>, il semble en revanche se confirmer que ce sera bien elle qui arborera pour la première fois le nouveau logo Peugeot. Comme en témoigne cette photo volée par Motor.es du volant de la prochaine compacte :</p>

<p>Son inspiration sera à retrouver à la fois dans l&rsquo;histoire du logo mais aussi, bien entendu, dans le style de celui adopté sur E-Legend. Sans pour autant que le logo du concept ne soit absolument identique à celui qui sera définitivement présenté ! Si la forme d&rsquo;écusson semble acquise, le graphisme dans son ensemble pourrait ne pas être aussi « vintage » que celui de l&rsquo;E-Legend. Le Lion en lui-même ne fera plus montre de sa force et de sa détermination que par sa crinière et ses crocs dont le dessin devrait toutefois être stylisé et modernisé.</p>

<p>Difficile en revanche de savoir à quel moment Peugeot communiquera officiellement sur ce changement. La seule chose qui soit certaine c&rsquo;est que ce ne sera pas à Genève puisque aucun félin n&rsquo;y posera ses pattes, ni Peugeot, ni Jaguar. Un peu de patience donc, nous découvrirons très bientôt ce nouveau Lion.</p>
