<p>Annoncé de longue date par Ford, le SUV électrique inspiré de la Mustang a été enfin révélé cette nuit. Le constructeur américain nous livre tous les détails esthétiques de cette nouvelle concurrente à Tesla, mais aussi de nombreuses informations techniques. La Ford Mustang Mach-E (à prononcer « maquis » et non « mâche ») ne devrait pas vous laisser indifférents !</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mustang Mach-E : entre références au coupé légendaire et innovations stylistiques</h2>



<p>Un SUV peut-il rendre hommage et surtout faire honneur à un coupé qui fait l&rsquo;unanimité depuis 50 ans ? Ford a parié oui, au risque de profondément décevoir les puristes. Mais le résultat n&rsquo;est pas vilain. </p>

<p>La face avant reprend globalement la forme de la calandre du coupé sportif, mais pleine, électrique oblige. En son centre, le logo du cheval galopant, que l&rsquo;on retrouve à différents endroits sur la Mustang Mach-E et qui remplace purement et simplement le logo à l&rsquo;ovale bleu.</p>

<p>Les phares reprennent également la forme générale de ceux de la Mustang thermique mais reçoivent une signature lumineuse spécifique ainsi qu&rsquo;un léger décroché en partie basse côté calandre. Sur le capot, les deux nervures prononcées sont également au rendez-vous.</p>

<p>En allant regarder du côté du profil, la ligne de coupé est indéniable et les proportions sont idéales : large, basse (1,60m) et longue (4,76 m), la Mustang Mach-E en impose tout en évoquant la sportivité et la performance. Le pavillon noir accentue la chute du toit très prononcée sur le hayon incliné tandis que les bas de caisse noirs allègent la silhouette.</p>

<p>On ne peut s&#8217;empêcher de remarquer l&rsquo;absence de poignées de portes, qui permet cette fluidité remarquable sur un enfin aussi massif. En lieu et place, des petits boutons permettent l&rsquo;ouverture sur l&rsquo;habitacle, avec l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un petit appendice permettant de tirer la porte. Les portes se déverrouilleront grâce à la reconnaissance du smartphone de son propriétaire via le Bluetooth, mais aussi via un code paramétré par le propriétaire, à taper sur le montant.</p>

<p>C&rsquo;est sans doute de derrière que la filiation avec la Mustang Fastback est la plus évidente : Les feux arborent les trois griffes typiques, mais osent le relief et se prolongent à l&rsquo;horizontale vers le centre du hayon. La forme globale de ce dernier rappelle fortement le coupé, au même titre que les ailes arrière très galbées.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tesla, cible et source d&rsquo;inspiration&#8230;</h2>

<p>En découvrant le tableau de bord, impossible de ne pas penser à Tesla, une autre marque américaine qui devrait par ailleurs sortir prochainement le SUV Model Y, petit frère du Model X. Greffée sur une planche de bord rectiligne très épuré, la tablette tactile de 15 pouces est sans conteste la pièce maîtresse de cet intérieur sportif donc très noir. Des surpiqûres rouges égayent l&rsquo;ensemble mais la fantaisie n&rsquo;est pas de mise. Après tout, c&rsquo;est une recette qui a fait ses preuves auprès de la marque d&rsquo;Elon Musk&#8230;</p>

<p>Contrairement à ce que peut laisser penser la ligne, l&rsquo;habitabilité s&rsquo;annonce plutôt bonne tant à l&rsquo;avant qu&rsquo;à l&rsquo;arrière. Côté coffre, 402 litres de contenance sont annoncés à l&rsquo;arrière&#8230; et 100 de plus pourront être utilisés sous le capot avant !</p>

<p>La Ford Mustang Mach-E est donc, il va falloir s&rsquo;y faire, un SUV électrique. Point de V8 sous le capot, mais Ford annonce tout de même des performances électrisantes, littéralement. Dans sa configuration la plus puissante, la Mach-E GT, le SUV Mustang développera 465 ch (342 kW), un couple énorme de 830 Nm et abattra le 0 à 100 km/h en moins de 5 secondes. Mais en attendant cette version annoncée pour 2021, il faudra se « contenter » de 337 ch (248 kW), du couple  de 565 Nm et du 0 à 100 en 8 secondes.</p>

<p>Non content de proposer ces deux choix de puissance, Ford laissera également le choix pour sa Mustang Mach-E entre la propulsion et la transmission intégrale. Deux types de batterie seront également au catalogue :  standard (batterie lithium-ion de 75,7 kWh) et autonomie étendue (batterie de 98,8 kWh). Pour cette dernière, l&rsquo;autonomie annoncée est de 600 km en propulsion. il faudra compter environ 150 km de moins pour l&rsquo;offre la moins puissante.</p>

<p>Côté recharge, là encore le client aura le choix. Avec la Ford Connected Wallbox, la puissance de recharge est annoncée comme jusqu&rsquo;à cinq fois supérieure à celle d&rsquo;une prise domestique, soit 62 km d&rsquo;autonomie récupérée par heure de recharge (avec batterie à autonomie étendue et propulsion). Dotée d&rsquo;un câble CCS avec une charge maximale de 150 kW, la Ford Mustang Mach-E pourra accepter la charge rapide, notamment sur les bornes IONITY. Grâce à ces bornes (400 attendues en Europe en 2020), la Mustang Mach-E propulsion (RWD) avec autonomie étendue récupèrera 93 km d&rsquo;autonomie en 10 minutes. Déception cependant, en courant alternatif, la Mustang électrique plafonne à 11 kW, quand une Renault Zoé accepte 22 kW donc charge plus vite sur 65% des bornes publiques en Europe&#8230;</p>
