<p><em>Le Volvo XC90 lancé en 2014 était le premier véhicule Volvo de l&rsquo;ère Geely. il est venu introduire un tout nouveau visage du style du constructeur suédois qui s&rsquo;est depuis largement développé sur le reste de la gamme (S et V90, S et V60, XC60, XC40). Le succès a été au rendez-vous et le gros SUV s&rsquo;offre donc aujourd&rsquo;hui, d&rsquo;une part, un très léger lifting pour rester dans le coup et, d&rsquo;autre part, une nouvelle offre technique pour rester dans le cou&#8230; rant.</em></p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Une retouche là et une autre ici&#8230;</h3>



<p>Et c&rsquo;est à peu près tout. Mais pour corser le tout elles sont quasiment invisibles au commun des mortels (c&rsquo;est-à-dire à toute personne qui ne serait pas un passionné absolu de bagnole en gros, et encore). Et même un œil très averti sera bien en peine de trouver ces petites modifications au premier regard. Preuve que le dessin originel est toujours pleinement d&rsquo;actualité, les designers de Volvo n&rsquo;ont touché qu&rsquo;à la calandre, redessinée dans sa partie intérieure, au bas du bouclier avant, légèrement remanié, aux jantes, à la zone reliant les deux catadioptres à l&rsquo;arrière et aux couleurs de carrosserie. Subtil.</p>

<p>A l&rsquo;intérieur pas grand chose de neuf non plus si ce n&rsquo;est le nouveau, et il faut le dire sublime, pommeau de levier de vitesses en cristal. Un élément décidément très à la mode dans le premium actuellement. L&rsquo;offre de sellerie s&rsquo;enrichit également et en propose désormais une en laine mélangée. On rajoutera à cela l&rsquo;arrivée d&rsquo;Apple CarPlay dans le système d&rsquo;infotainment et quelques ADAS supplémentaires (comme le système d’anticipation de collision frontale déjà présent sur XC60)&#8230; Et c&rsquo;est tout.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Nouvelle motorisation B5</h3>



<p>Le Volvo XC90 profite également de ces toutes petites mises à jour pour introduire une nouvelle motorisation baptisée B5 qui sera intégralement développée sur le reste de la gamme du constructeur suédois. Il s&rsquo;agit en fait d&rsquo;un système de micro-hybridation qui produit de l&rsquo;électricité grâce à l&rsquo;énergie cinétique générée lors des phases de freinage. Ce freinage est désormais gérer « by wire » et l&rsquo;énergie récupérée offre des petits gains de puissance. Un système permettant de faire le lien entre le tout thermique et l&rsquo;hybridation complète mais dont l&rsquo;efficacité est sans doute à démontrer. D&rsquo;autant que le chiffre de réduction de la consommation d&rsquo;essence avancé par Volvo, jusqu&rsquo;à 15 %, apparait plus qu&rsquo;optimiste.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Et ce n&rsquo;est pas tout !</h3>



<p>Cerise sur le (petit, il est vrai) gâteau, la version hybride du Volvo XC90, le T8, profite également d&rsquo;un changement de batterie pour voir son autonomie en tout électrique progresser légèrement. D&rsquo;environ 15 % là encore d&rsquo;après Volvo.</p>



<p>Cette modification des versions T8 se retrouvera à l&rsquo;identique sur les autres véhicules de la marque y ayant droit et la version un peu moins musclée, T6, profitera elle aussi d&rsquo;une mise à jour de sa batterie.</p>
