Cette fois-ci, il est associé à la boîte double embrayage de Renault à 7 rapports, l’EDC7. Nous avons été enthousiastes sur la proposition d’entrée de gamme essence, le serons-nous tout autant sur cette version plus puissante ?</em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">TCe 160 : le Renault Kadjar TCe le plus puissant</h2>



<p>Il y a des choses qui ne changent pas lors des mises à jour, comme le rouge Flamme, toujours présent sur le nouveau Renault Kadjar. Et il lui va toujours autant ! La série limitée Black Edition est en plus équipée de nouvelles jantes de 19&Prime; noires, nommées Bandana, au dessin à la fois simple et travaillé. La thématique est également reprise à l’intérieur, de façon inversée. Le noir domine et le rouge apparaît ici et là sur les coutures des sièges. L’habillage de la planche de bord est noir légèrement pailleté. Nous ne sommes pas au niveau du Peugeot 3008 GT, mais ça lui donne une petite personnalité. </p>



<p>On retrouve bien sûr les mises à jour à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du Kadjar essayé il y a quelques jours. Les sièges sont recouverts de cuir et d’Alcantara, avec un motif losange 3D. C’est beau à l’œil et doux au toucher. Les sièges sont repris des autres versions et leur maintien est toujours de&nbsp;qualité.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Un SUV pour la route</h2>



<p><em>Start</em> : c’est le bouton du bonheur. Le bruit est proche de la version 140 ch. Il suffit d’appuyer sur l’accélérateur de façon plus ferme et la sonorité devient plus rageuse. Ce n’est pas le bruit d’un V6 bien sûr, mais il est plaisant et donne envie que ça ne s’arrête jamais. Nous arrivons même à pousser le moteur jusqu’à 6 000 tr/min avant que la boîte de vitesses ne décide qu’il est temps de passer au rapport supérieur. Et celui-ci se passe de façon imperceptible. </p>



<p>Sur les lacets des routes de Sardaigne c’est un vrai plaisir de conduire ce Renault Kadjar. Au point qu&rsquo;il est facile d&rsquo;oublier qu&rsquo;il s’agit d’un SUV. On y prend goût, même si la direction aurait mérité un réglage un peu plus ferme et précis. Mais on s’y acclimate vite et on apprend à faire avec. Le freinage est en plus plutôt bon, sans appuyer pour autant trop fort.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Plus GT que Black ?</h2>



<p>Pour autant, le Renault Kadjar reste confortable. Il ne prend pas trop de roulis dans les virages, et les imperfections du revêtement pourtant nombreuses sont bien absorbées même avec les jantes de 19 pouces. Forcément, le compteur n’indique pas les 5,6 l annoncés par Renault en homologation. Nous avons dépassé les 9 l/100 km sur les chemins escarpés des montagnes, pour redescendre en contrebas sur les routes nationales. Précisons que ce sont les chiffres de l’ordinateur de bord, et que nous n’avons pas ménagé notre monture en la cravachant sérieusement.&nbsp;</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Une niveau de gamme inédit </h4>



<p>Renault Kadjar n&rsquo;a rien d&rsquo;un véhicule sportif, il est plus proche de l&rsquo;esprit GT. GT&#8230; mais c’est aussi une définition que propose Renault sur d&rsquo;autres modèles de sa gamme ! Il est en effet étonnant que le Losange ne capitalise pas sur ce nom qui s’est fait une place dans son catalogue. R.S. et R.S. Line semblent prendre le dessus avec la présentation de<strong><a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/decouverte-statique-renault-clio-v/"> la nouvelle Renault Clio</a></strong>. Le constructeur nous a répondu que son Renault Kadjar 160 ch n&rsquo;était pas assez différent en terme de look extérieur pour en profiter. </p>



<p>Et puis, les codes de la Black Edition sont plutôt le rouge (sic !) alors que les GT ou R.S. Line sont plutôt sur une thématique bleue. Peut-être plus tard quand cette série limitée Black Edition sera épuisée&#8230; Mais si cette version rencontre le succès, Renault ne s’interdit pas de la rendre illimitée. D&rsquo;ailleurs, elle est apparue depuis le mois de mai sur Renault Scénic, sans le rouge cependant. En tout cas, la marque a la volonté d’animer la gamme du Renault Kadjar de façon (plus) régulière.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Dans notre configuration, le prix catalogue du Renault Kadjar 1.6 TCe EDC Black Edition est proposé à partir de 36 300 €. Mais pour avoir le joli Rouge Flamme, il vous faudra ajouter 850 €. Si vous souhaitez ajouter de la lumière à cet intérieur noir, le toit vitré s&rsquo;échange contre 700 €. Il ne reste que deux options possibles sur cette série limitée : la roue de secours galette (150 €) et l&rsquo;Easy Park Assist (350 €).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Le meilleur du Renault Kadjar?</h2>



<p>Que penser du Renault Kadjar 1.3 TCe 160 ch Black Edition ? Côté moteur, il apporte, certes, un vrai plus par rapport au TCe 140 ch. Mais est-ce que l’investissement de 1 500 € en vaut la peine ? Si votre quotidien se passe en zone périurbaine ou sur des paysages plats, le TCe 140 ch est déjà d’un bon niveau. Si votre quotidien est fait de reliefs et de routes sinueuses, alors oui, il sera plus adapté. Côté version, le choix se fera selon vos goûts personnels. Si vous aimez l&rsquo;ambiance noire rehaussée de rouge, la Black Edition est faite pour vous.</p>



<p>Nous avons quant à nous une petite préférence pour l&rsquo;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Intens 140 ch (s’ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)" href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-renault-kadjar-1-3-tce-140-ch-intens-lessence-meme-du-suv/" target="_blank"><strong>Intens 140 ch</strong></a> précédemment essayé. Elle nous semble plus proche de la philosophie du Renault Kadjar, à la fois plus douce et plus accessible. Et si vous tenez vraiment à un SUV français plus dynamique, le Peugeot 3008 avec son moteur 1.6 PureTech 180 ch nous semble davantage répondre au cahier des charges. D&rsquo;autres modèles proposent des essence pêchus : les Citroën C5 Aircross et Hyundai Tucson N-Line alignent eux aussi jusqu&rsquo;à 180 ch. Et pour les plus fanas de sportivité, le Volkswagen T-Roc R ou <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-cupra-ateca-20-tsi-300-ch-dsg7-4-drive-une-supra-seat/"><strong>le Cupra Ateca </strong></a>avec leurs 300 ch s&rsquo;imposent parmi les généralistes, sans évoquer les concurrents premium aux versions S, AMG et autres M toutes plus musclées les unes que les autres. Une philosophie qui est bien loin, toutes proportions gardées, de ce Kadjar TCe 160.</p>
