<p><em>Dans la famille Ceed, nous avons essayé le shooting break <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/45725/essai-kia-proceed-gt-proceedintention/" data-type="post" data-id="45725">Pro&rsquo;Ceed</a>, la <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/235092/essai-kia-ceed-1-5-t-gdi-160-ch-courant-alternatif/" data-type="post" data-id="235092">berline 5 portes Ceed</a> et la variante redessinée et surélevée <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/53685/essai-kia-xceed-launch-edition-1-6-crdi-136ch-plumage-sans-ramage/" data-type="post" data-id="53685">XCeed</a>. Cette dernière nous avait été confiée en version Diesel et il était temps de la retrouver dans une motorisation un peu plus dans l&rsquo;air du temps. C&rsquo;est ainsi que nous nous retrouvons pour un 4ème essai de la famille Ceed, avec la XCeed hybride rechargeable. La greffe d&rsquo;une batterie renforce-t-elle son pouvoir de séduction ?</em></p>

<p>Yes, it&rsquo;s a trappe qui fait la seule différence à l&rsquo;extérieur de cette berline SUVisée de 4,40 m de long ! Située sur l&rsquo;aile avant-gauche, celle-ci sert pour recharger la batterie électrique.</p>

<p>Notre modèle d&rsquo;essai est sinon identique en tout point à la version Diesel que nous avons eue entre les mains il y a près de 2 ans (le temps passe vite&#8230;). Au lieu de se paraphraser, on vous remet des morceaux choisis de l&rsquo;essai de Fabien pour vous présenter l&rsquo;esthétique de cette XCeed hybride rechargeable dans les grandes lignes : </p>



<p>« <em>Plus haute de 52 mm, plus large de 26 mm » qu&rsquo;une Ceed, la <a href="https://www.kia.com/fr/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kia</a> XCeed dispose d&rsquo;un « design plus étiré, lui conférant l’impression d’être mieux posée sur la route », d&rsquo;une « face avant retravaillée et spécifique » avec « le fameux «&nbsp;tiger nose&nbsp;» tandis que la partie inférieure de la calandre est mise en avant avec ses joncs chromés</em>« . Le profil reprend à la fois « l&rsquo;esprit SUV » et celui d&rsquo;un coupé. Un mélange qui nous semble toujours réussi et qui n&rsquo;a pas pris une ride en 2 ans !</p>

<p>On pense au combiné d&rsquo;instrumentation numérique de 12,3&Prime;, au dessin somme toute classique de la planche de bord, mais ergonomique et original avec ces touches de jaune issu du pack intérieur ou encore à ces sièges à motifs nids d&rsquo;abeilles à surpiqûres jaunes. La tablette tactile est bien positionnée au sommet de la planche de bord, et relativement lisible même si le menu de la page d&rsquo;accueil est assez dense, en hébergeant de nouvelles fonctions propres aux données de consommation et de gestion électrique.</p>

<p>Et puisque nous en sommes à relever les différences avec une XCeed 100% thermique, outre une nouvelle commande dédiée à la charge, il y a encore une histoire de trappe. Le coffre en accueille deux nouvelles, l&rsquo;une pour la batterie dans un logement bombé à droite et une seconde dans le plancher de coffre, s&rsquo;ouvrant sur un espace permettant de loger le câble de recharge du véhicule &#8211; un simple câble domestique. Le tout réduisant l&rsquo;espace disponible de 426 à 291 litres de contenance. Suffisant pour embarquer les cadeaux de Noël et les affaires pour le weekend, mais pas énorme pour une voiture de cette taille.</p>

<p>En mettant le contact de la XCeed hybride rechargeable, celle-ci nous indique disposer d&rsquo;une autonomie électrique de 50 km. Après un trajet uniquement urbain de 9 km, il nous en reste 45. En sachant que les 5 km perdus l&rsquo;ont été suite à l&rsquo;ascension des côtes de Meudon, exigeant pas mal de puissance. Il faut donc reconnaître l&rsquo;efficacité du système hybride, favorisant l&rsquo;électrique sans forcer ce mode avec la fonction EV. </p>



<p>En restant sur ce mode, il nous faudra une centaine de kilomètres pour vider la batterie, sollicitée sur le plat à vitesse constante et en alternance avec le moteur thermique. </p>



<p>Pour autant, en ville, on continue à profiter de l&rsquo;énergie électrique, de son silence et à limiter la consommation d&rsquo;essence. On est en revanche perturbé par l&rsquo;absence totale de frein moteur, habitués à une décélération importante sur les hybrides et électriques pour recharger leur batterie en roulant. Heureusement, le freinage est facile à doser, mais il est dommage de devoir systématiquement taper dedans pour ralentir.</p>

<p>C&rsquo;est un autre tableau pour ce qui est de l&rsquo;utilisation du moteur thermique. Lorsque celui-ci s&rsquo;est allumé pour la première fois, il devait être froid et s&rsquo;est donc mis en surrégime, à l&rsquo;oreille, nous dirions dans les 1000 tours/min (sans compte-tours, difficile à dire&#8230;). </p>



<p>Si les alternances entre électrique et thermique sont autrement plutôt discrets, la boîte DCT6 (pourtant une boîte à double embrayage), contribue à faire faire ses vocalises au moteur, notamment en côte, en rétrogradant à tout va, en se montrant hésitante et en imposant même des à-coups désagréables. On l&rsquo;avait déjà constaté sur le Niro, cette boîte ruine tout l&rsquo;agrément de conduite. Elle est au niveau d&rsquo;une vieille transmission à variation continue, c&rsquo;est dire ! </p>

Avec 1 519 kg pour 141 ch (105 ch pour le bloc thermique 1.6 et 60,5 ch pour l&rsquo;électrique), elle n&rsquo;offre pas des performances mémorables. Même en mode sport qui la raffermit et propose une gestion plus réactive du moteur et de la boîte, ce n&rsquo;est convaincant qu&rsquo;en roulant trop vite, et encore, sans en faire un modèle du genre. </p>



<p>Les suspensions sont en effet trop souples à haute vitesse pour cela et la direction demeure encore trop artificielle et démultipliée. Plus haut perchée qu&rsquo;une Ceed traditionnelle, la XCeed mise sur le confort de suspension, mais pas trop des sièges, qui provoquent des douleurs dans le dos et les fesses lors des longs trajets.</p>

<p>Le crédo de la XCeed hybride rechargeable, ce sera donc la conduite tout en douceur, pour un gain de consommation encore plus grand. Sur la première partie de notre trajet, en disposant d&rsquo;une cinquantaine de km d&rsquo;autonomie électrique, nous avons consommé environ 5,5 litres/100 km. Batterie vide, nous avons relevé 6 litres tout rond à la pompe. </p>



<p>Cela devrait faire taire les opposants aux hybrides rechargeables prétendant que ce genre de motorisations est une « arnaque », puisque la consommation reste mesurée même sans recharger, et qu&rsquo;en pouvant recharger pour les déplacements quotidiens, on utilisera très peu d&rsquo;essence.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Equipements de la Kia XCeed hybride rechargeable Design : une finition qui porte bien son nom</h2>

<p>La Kia XCeed mise sur son look avant tout. C&rsquo;est encore plus vrai dans cette finition Deisgn, qui offre de très belles Jantes en alliage 18’’, un toit vitré panoramique nous nous avons peu profité à cause du climat pluvieux, des vitres et de la  lunette arrière surteintées. A l&rsquo;intérieur, le combiné d&rsquo;instrumentation 12.3’’ fait son apparition.</p>

<p>Les technologies ne sont pas en reste, puisqu&rsquo;on gagne par rapport à la finition inférieure le système actif d’aide au stationnement et le chargeur du smartphone par induction. On n&rsquo;est pas contraint de poser son téléphone non-compatible à cet emplacement puisqu&rsquo;un second situé juste en dessous permet de l&rsquo;y ranger. Appréciable !</p>



<p>Les aides à la conduite sont en revanche optionnelles, et regroupées dans un pack à 1 000 €. Il faut alors vous préparer à des bip-bip incessants et les alertes précoces et stressantes, notamment sur l&rsquo;aide au freinage d&rsquo;urgence. On arrive dans un rond point, on se fait hurler dessus alors qu&rsquo;on est déjà en train de freiner. Il faut l&rsquo;avouer, c&rsquo;est plutôt insupportable. </p>



<p>Même constat avec l&rsquo;alerte de véhicule dans l&rsquo;angle mort, qui ne nous autorise à nous rabattre que quand on a mis une large distance avec le véhicule suivant. L&rsquo;aide au maintien dans la voie suit la même logique, en étant très intrusive et en enlevant tout plaisir de conduite. En ne laissant que l&rsquo;alerte de franchissement de ligne avec remise dans la voie, c&rsquo;est un peu mieux, mais on ne se sent toujours pas maître à bord !</p>

<p>Que de la gueule, cette XCeed PHEV ? Nous n&rsquo;irions pas jusque là. Elle tient son pari dans la gestion de sa batterie électrique qui se montre efficiente même lorsqu&rsquo;on ne peut pas recharger. Mais le <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/235092/essai-kia-ceed-1-5-t-gdi-160-ch-courant-alternatif/" data-type="post" data-id="235092">moteur essence de 160 ch</a> fait alors aussi bien, on aura donc tout intérêt à opter pour cette hybride rechargeable que si l&rsquo;on peut la recharger (logique selon nous). </p>



<p>Quoi qu&rsquo;il en soit, cette XCeed hybride rechargeable se distingue sur le marché, non pas par ses tarifs dans la norme du segment, mais parce qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une offre (quasiment) unique de berline surélevée PHEV. Si vous êtes fan de son style, que vous désirez une hybride rechargable et que vous habitez dans une région relativement plane que vous aimez arpenter « à la cool », vous ne trouverez pas d&rsquo;équivalent. Sinon, les berlines hybrides rechargeables de chez Stellantis vous tendent les bras !</p>

<p>Après deux générations et 1,28 million modèles vendus depuis 2006, <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Motors" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kia</a> dévoile le millésime 2018 de sa compacte, la Kia Ceed. Dessinée, conçue et produite sur le Vieux Continent entre Francfort et Zilina, la coréenne, sœur de <a href="https://www.lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-hyundai-i30-fastback-1-4-t-gdi-140-dct-7-fast-not-furious-55276/" data-type="post" data-id="55276">la Hyundai I30</a>, n’a jamais été aussi européenne qu’aujourd’hui. Avec cette stratégie la marque de Seoul vient directement concurrencer les Volkswagen Golf, Peugeot 308 ou autre Renault Megane. En a-t-elle réellement le niveau ?</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Renouveau esthétique de la Kia Ceed</h2>



<p>Plus large et moins haute mais de même longueur, elle apparaît plus «&nbsp;posée&nbsp;» sur ses jantes de 15 à 17 pouces. Pas d’extravagance stylistique, le style est assez consensuel mais la large calandre dynamise la face avant et n’est pas sans rappeler la Kia Stinger. Avec ses feux à LED on retrouve également une élégante signature lumineuse, à l’avant comme à l’arrière, qui vient agréablement terminer le design extérieur.</p>



<p>À l’intérieur, peu de surprise on retrouve le style Kia et on se sent rapidement à l’aise. Pas d’originalité déroutante en terme de design mais une conception solide et des finitions à la hauteur du segment. Les sièges présentent de jolies combinaisons de matières et de couleurs. Ils sont confortables et leur maintien est agréable. Suivant la finition un écran de 7 ou 8 pouces trône au centre de la planche de bord, compatible Apple CarPlay et Android Auto. L’intégration est discutable mais cet écran tactile est réactif et affiche une jolie résolution.</p>

<p>Sur la route la Kia Ceed gagne en confort tout en gardant un toucher de route dynamique et une agilité surprenante. Équipée de pneus Michelin Pilot Sport 4, il est bien difficile d’atteindre les limites de son châssis réussi. La tenue de route est irréprochable, la direction précise et communicative. Les suspensions sont suffisamment fermes pour conserver du dynamisme mais beaucoup moins raides que la précédente génération.</p>



<p>Le nouveau moteur 4 cylindres 1.4 L T-GDI développe 140ch. Une puissance bien suffisante mais qui devient limite lorsqu’il est associé à la boîte de vitesses DCT à 7 rapports. Cette transmission à double embrayage est une déception&#8230; Le confort est bien présent mais le rapport engagé est toujours trop haut. Résultat, une surconsommation de carburant déraisonnable et des reprises très molles.</p>



<p>À l’inverse, la boîte manuelle est agréable, fluide et confortable. Avec cette transmission plus question de perdre le couple et la puissance du moteur.</p>



<p>Le moteur diesel 1.6 CRDI de 136 ch est coupleux et la puissance ne s’étouffe pas lors des montées en régime. Ce moteur est également peu gourmand puisqu’il ne dépasse pas les 5,5l/100 km, même sur des routes de montagne.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Des équipements qui surclassent son segment de marché</h2>



<p>Mais le terrain où cette Kia Ceed surpasse tous ses concurrents est la sécurité. Avec cette nouvelle génération, le constructeur coréen fait évoluer la dotation en série de la Ceed en matière d’aides à la conduite et d’assistance à la sécurité. On y trouve entre autre : un système de freinage d’urgence, l’alerte au franchissement de ligne, l’assistance au maintien de voie, l’alerte de baisse de vigilance… Un forfait d’option supplémentaire permet même à la Kia Ceed d’atteindre une capacité de conduite autonome de niveau 2. Oui, soit le même niveau de performances que les références du marché comme une Volvo S90 ou une Tesla Model X…</p>



<p>Et si l’on pourrait douter de l’efficacité du système au vu du segment de prix de la Kia Ceed, il suffit de se rendre sur autoroute pour être bluffé par ses capacités. Dès lors que la signalisation au sol est nette, l’auto n’est pas piégeuse et transporte ses passagers de façon rassurante en maintenant le véhicule au centre de sa voie. Le régulateur adaptatif contrôle aussi tout efficacement l’accélération et le freinage en fonction du trafic.</p>



<p>Plus encore, le comportement de l’auto en situation d’urgence est particulièrement saint. Que ce soit en condition d’évitement ou de freinage d’urgence les maîtres mots sont facilité, agilité, stabilité et efficacité.</p>
