<p>Pour le premier week-end de mars, Lillebonne – ancienne cité gallo-romaine nommée Juliobona – a été le théâtre non pas d&rsquo;une course de chars, mais de deux épreuves de rallye. <a href="https://www.rallye-sport.fr/liste-des-engages-rallye-pays-de-caux-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">De la première Ford Escort Mk1 à la Renault Clio V FRC5</a>, cette étape du Pays de Caux en Normandie était divisée par le cinquante-troisième rallye régional et le sixième rallye historique.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><br>Présence éclectique et massive de modèles français pour défendre les terres gauloises du Pays de Caux</h2>



<p>Ce n&rsquo;était pas contre des automobiles latines, mais principalement contre des modèles allemands, anglo-américains, tchèques, et japonais que se sont confrontées les voitures françaises de tous âges. Une concurrence réputée avec des modèles tels que la Skoda Fabia, la Ford Fiesta RS, et la Volkswagen Polo FRC2. Quelques modèles plus anciens comme la Ford Puma ou les Mitsubishi &lsquo;Lan-Evo&rsquo; VII à X pouvaient aussi être visibles.  </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quelques curiosités parmi un parc de &lsquo;youngtimers&rsquo; et de modernes&nbsp;essentiellement français</h2>



<p>A travers ces citadines françaises modifiées, on pouvait aussi admirer quelques modèles encore plus emblématiques comme la Porsche 911 3.0 SC ou la BMW 325i. Toutefois, les Ford Escort Mk 1 et RS 1800 pouvaient davantage faire vibrer les spectateurs de par leur succès passés multiples en rallye avec <a href="https://cultureauto.fr/ari-vatanen/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ari Vatanen</a> ou <a href="https://www.rallye-sport.fr/hannu-mikkola-champion-du-monde-1983-est-decede/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hannu Mikkola</a>, à leur volant, tous deux champions du monde.</p>

<p>Avec la Renault 11, les 205/AX et la Talbot Sunbeam TI, il s&rsquo;agissait des seuls modèles vraiment anciens qui nous ont été permis d&rsquo;observer, puisque seulement sept voitures étaient engagées dans la partie historique.</p>

<p><em>Nos vies d’essayeurs ne sont pas de tout repos. Parfois, il nous arrive de conduire des autos comme l’Alpine A110S. Que c’est dur&#8230; Blague à part, bien-sûr&nbsp;! Cela dit, avec ses 292 ch transmis aux roues arrières pour seulement 1&nbsp;123 kg, l’Alpine A110S charme autant qu’elle impressionne. Pas question de la «&nbsp;piloter&nbsp;»&nbsp;: nous ne l&#8217;emmènerons pas sur circuit, «&nbsp;seulement&nbsp;» sur les routes du Nord et de Normandie, au cœur d’un périple de près de 900 km. De quoi s’en faire une idée précise et constater si l’on peut s’amuser au volant d’une Alpine sans être un pilote… et sans se faire peur.</em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Essai Alpine A110S&nbsp;: qu’S que c’est&nbsp;?</strong></h2>



<p>L’Alpine A110 <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/essai-alpine-a110-renaissance-reussie-205030/" target="_blank">a ressuscité il y a 3 ans</a> en conservant la philosophie de son aïeule&nbsp;: poids plume et moteur en position centrale arrière. <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/alpine-a110s-la-berlinette-muscle-son-jeu-33962/" target="_blank">Depuis un an</a>, cette nouvelle A110 dispose d’une version «&nbsp;S&nbsp;» forte de 292 ch (soit 40 ch de gagnés) pour 1&nbsp;123 kg. Le couple demeure à 320 Nm (de 2000 à 6400 tr/min, contre seulement 5000 tr/min l’A110 «&nbsp;normale&nbsp;») avec la boîte à double embrayage EDC 7. Ces caractéristiques lui permettent d’atteindre une vitesse de pointe de 260 km/h, d’abattre le 0 à 100 km/h en 4,4 secondes et d’achever le 1000 m départ arrêté en 22,8 secondes.</p>

<p>Pour le look, l’A110S se pare de nouvelles jantes et d’une teinte mate Gris Tonnerre qui n’ont pas vocation à rendre l’Alpine plus discrète, comme en attestent ses étriers de freins orange. Il est d’ailleurs jouissif de voir à quel point elle attire les regards et d’entendre les commentaires élogieux qui les accompagnent. «&nbsp;<em>Wouuuuuuaaaah la voiture</em>&nbsp;!&nbsp;», «&nbsp;<em>haaaaan elle est trooop belle&nbsp;!</em>&nbsp;»… Nous n&rsquo;avons perçu que des élans de sympathie. S’il paraît logique qu’une telle auto suscite l’intérêt, nous nous attendions également à des démonstrations d’antipathie tant l’Alpine A110S est voyante et… bruyante&nbsp;!</p>

<p>Imaginez-nous dans les rues du Touquet aux abords des restaurants, mode «&nbsp;Sport&nbsp;» enclenché et vitres ouvertes, bien déterminés à faire entendre les vrombissements du quatre cylindres qui, à chaque décélération, vous gratifie d’un «&nbsp;vrap vrap vrap&nbsp;» à réveiller les morts. Oui, nous avons fait les kékés, comme ces fois où nous avons testé le <em>launch control</em> de l’A110S au feu rouge. Les deux mains sur les palettes, le pied gauche sur le frein, le pied droit sur l’accélérateur… Quand le feu passe au vert, on ne garde que le pied sur l&rsquo;accélérateur et on est collé au siège alors que tout le monde nous regarde. Pas de doute, l&rsquo;Alpine A110S est une machine à procurer des sensations. Mais est-elle pour autant facile à conduire ?</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Essai Alpine A110S : S possible de la conduire sans être un pilote ?</strong></h2>



<p>Avant de conduire l’A110S, il convient déjà de s’assoir dedans. Cela nécessite de se baisser, car c’est une voiture basse (1,24 mètre) dans laquelle on est – inévitablement &#8211; installé bas. Prendre place à son bord demande toutefois moins d’efforts que dans une <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-alfa-romeo/dernier-essai-alfa-romeo-4c-edizione-speciale-le-diable-shabille-en-alfa-205945/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alfa Romeo 4C</a> ou dans une Lotus Elise bien que les sièges baquets (très enveloppants) ne soient réglables qu’en longueur. L’Alpine A110S semble imposer ses règles, comme pour mieux nous intimider. Son habitacle respire le sport avec de l’alcantara à profusion et une console centrale en carbone. </p>



<p>Les matériaux sont beaux, mais l’ensemble fait «&nbsp;plastique&nbsp;» et la qualité des assemblages laisse à désirer. C’est d’autant plus dommage lorsque l’on sait que la voiture coûte, au minimum, 67 900 euros… Pour l’instant, nous ferons fi de cette constatation&nbsp;: nous avons tout de même la chance d’être au volant d’une Alpine&nbsp;! On y est bien, quoique le dossier du siège nous paraît trop incliné. Pour le coup, cela donne vraiment l’impression d’être assis comme un pilote de Formule 1. Mais qu&rsquo;importe : il est temps d’appuyer sur le bouton «&nbsp;Start&nbsp;».</p>

<p>Au démarrage, le bruit du moteur enthousiasme. Pas besoin de manier de levier de vitesses : il n’y en a pas&nbsp;! Il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton «&nbsp;D&nbsp;» de la console centrale pour avancer, ou «&nbsp;R&nbsp;» pour reculer. C’est d’une simplicité déconcertante… tout comme, globalement, la conduite de l’Alpine A110 S. Si la fermeté de la direction vient vous rappeler que vous roulez avec une voiture sportive, l’A110S s’avère facile à conduire dès les premières minutes. Peut-on donc se faire plaisir à son volant sans être pour autant un pilote&nbsp;? La réponse est oui et ce pour deux raisons. La première est qu’avec 292 ch et 320 Nm de couple (disponibles dès 2&nbsp;000 trs/min), l’Alpine accorde de fortes accélérations qui vous donneront irrémédiablement le sourire. </p>



<p>La seconde (et sans doute la plus importante) est qu’elle offre une conduite rassurante grâce à une tenue de route irréprochable. Même en mode « Track&nbsp;», où l’antidérapage ESP devient plus permissif, l’Alpine A110S ne vous fera pas peur. Par sécurité néanmoins, ce mode restera à privilégier sur circuit… ou éventuellement sur un terrain vague pour constater les capacités à drifter de la voiture&nbsp;! Dans ce cas, la répartition des masses (44 à l’avant, 56 à l’arrière) fera qu’il sera très facile de la faire glisser, tout en gardant le contrôle.</p>

<p>Dans les différents environnements où nous avons pu la conduire (ville, routes de campagne, autoroutes…), l’Alpine A110S nous a prouvé sa capacité à donner du plaisir à son «&nbsp;pilote&nbsp;». En plus d’une excellente tenue de route, elle satisfait par sa direction très précise, sa boîte de vitesses robotisée capable d&rsquo;enclencher le bon rapport au bon moment et, plus étonnant, par son efficience. Voici deux exemples pour illustrer nos propos&nbsp;: premièrement, sur un trajet de 434 km, composé principalement d’autoroutes, l’auto n’a consommé «&nbsp;que&nbsp;» 9,1 l/100 km. C’est beaucoup dans l’absolu, mais pas tant que cela pour une voiture à vocation sportive que nous avons conduit tantôt normalement, tantôt (très) «&nbsp;sportivement&nbsp;». </p>



<p>Deuxièmement, sur un parcours (là aussi, mixte) d’un peu plus de 60 km, où nous avons roulé de manière calme (sans «&nbsp;tomber&nbsp;» dans l’éco-conduite non plus), le compteur affichait… 6,1 l/100 km, à une vitesse moyenne de 62,5 km/h ! Saisissant. Mais alors n’a-t-elle aucun défaut, cette Alpine&nbsp;? Si, naturellement. Nous pouvons citer ses suspensions très fermes en ville (bien que beaucoup moins fermes que celles d’une Lotus Elise, par exemple) ou le bruit de son moteur qui, à la longue, semble manquer de caractère. Cependant, l’Alpine A110S propose une conduite agréable et accessible qui nous fait affirmer que l’on peut bel et bien se faire plaisir à son volant sans être un pilote. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Essai Alpine A110S : S bien raisonnable ?</h2>



<p>Sans surprise, nous avons beaucoup apprécié rouler avec l&rsquo;Alpine A110S (l’inverse aurait été étonnant, non&nbsp;?). Au-delà de sa facilité de conduite, l’A110S nous a plu pour sa polyvalence. Une polyvalence proche d’une Porsche Cayman, qui demeure pourtant plus bourgeoise et performante. A l’opposé, les Lotus Elise et <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-alfa-romeo/dernier-essai-alfa-romeo-4c-edizione-speciale-le-diable-shabille-en-alfa-205945/">Alfa Romeo 4C</a> nous semblent plus radicales et surtout, pour les avoir expérimentées, bien plus difficiles à prendre en main. </p>



<p>Finalement, l’Alpine A110S nous est apparue comme un «&nbsp;entre deux&nbsp;» séduisant… qu’il convient toutefois de mettre en perspective de son tarif de 67&nbsp;900 euros minimum. L’A110S nous a certes procuré beaucoup de plaisir, mais sa qualité de fabrication nous a semblé indigne d’une voiture affichée au prix d’une Porsche. D&rsquo;autant que dans cette zone tarifaire, les choix de modèles sont nombreux&#8230;</p>

<p>Il n’empêche que l&rsquo;on choisit sans doute une Alpine pour son agrément de conduite qui n&rsquo;a pas vraiment d&rsquo;équivalent. De plus, au vu de sa faible diffusion, nul doute que l&rsquo;A110 deviendra, dans les années à venir, un collector en puissance. </p>
