<p><em>20 ans : dans l&rsquo;absolu, ce n&rsquo;est pas très âgé. Dans l&rsquo;automobile, en revanche, cela ressemble à une éternité. Et pour cause : entre le concept-car <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/culture/235010/a-leurs-actes-manques-volkswagen-microbus-concept/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Microbus</a>, présenté en 2001, qui indiquait déjà les intentions de Volkswagen de renouveler son célébrissime Combi, et cet ID. Buzz, il s&rsquo;est effectivement écoulé plus de deux décennies. Il n&#8217;empêche qu&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui, c&rsquo;est bien la version de série d&rsquo;un véhicule maintes et maintes fois annoncé <em>que nous avons sous les yeux </em>. Alors ne boudons pas notre plaisir, et partons à sa découverte, d&rsquo;autant que c&rsquo;est à Paris que le Volkswagen ID. Buzz a été révélé.</em> <em>Et nous y étions !</em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Volkswagen ID. Buzz : un air de Combi électrique</h2>



<p>Certains codes sont bien là, comme le capot en « V » (même s&rsquo;il est moins marqué qu&rsquo;auparavant), valorisé par une peinture bicolore. Tout au long de la soirée de présentation, les références au Combi, dont le premier exemplaire <a href="https://www.journaldechambly.com/8-mars-1950-volkswagen-introduit-le-microbus-sur-le-marche/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">est sorti en 1950</a>, se sont multipliées ; surtout dans les discours. Car pour le reste, ce Volkswagen ID. Buzz ne tombe clairement pas dans le néo-rétro. Il récupère les éléments visuels des modèles électriques de Volkswagen, et ne s&rsquo;apparente pas à un simple <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/41790/westfalia-kepler-sixty-vehicule-a-vivre/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Transporter</a> électrique (car oui, il sera 100 % électrique). </p>

<p>D&rsquo;ailleurs, il est bien plus court : il mesure 4,71 m de long, là où le Transporter tutoie les 5 mètres. Plus que sa longueur, c&rsquo;est sa hauteur qui impressionne : 1,94 m. 1,94 m ! Nous nous attendions à moins haut, notamment pour des contraintes liées aux entrées des parkings souterrains (1,90 m le plus souvent).</p>

<p>Alors, forcément, à côté du Volkswagen ID. Buzz, on en mène pas large. Heureusement, il a une bouille plutôt sympathique et, de surcroît, des couleurs chatoyantes. Du jaune, du vert, du orange&#8230; Ou même du turquoise, comme sur le modèle que nous avons pu découvrir.</p>

<p>L&rsquo;intérieur conserve l&rsquo;originalité de l&rsquo;extérieur. Et si l&rsquo;inspiration vient, là encore, des habitacles des Volkswagen <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/235128/essai-volkswagen-id-3-le-badge-ne-fait-pas-le-moine/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ID.3</a> et ID.4 (et <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/242499/live-munich-2021-volkswagen-id-5-gtx/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ID.5</a>), il nous a paru plus qualitatif et doté d&rsquo;une ambiance aérée et agréable. Les matériaux utilisés flattent le regard et le toucher. Au-delà de ces considérations esthétiques, la banquette rabattable 60-40, coulissante sur 15 cm, permet d&rsquo;accueillir sans problème 3 adultes, même si la place centrale est plus petite que les deux autres. </p>

<p>D&rsquo;ailleurs, électrique oblige, le plancher est totalement plat, non seulement dans le coffre (d&rsquo;une sacrée contenance, d&rsquo;ailleurs : 1 120 l ; 2 205 l si la banquette est rabattue) mais aussi dans l&rsquo;habitacle. Cela étonne surtout à l&rsquo;avant, ou même dans un <em>van</em>, on n&rsquo;y est pas forcément habitué. C&rsquo;est d&rsquo;autant plus probant qu&rsquo;un grand espace existe entre les deux sièges avant&#8230; Permettant presque d&rsquo;accéder à l&rsquo;arrière du véhicule sans en descendre !</p>

<p>C&rsquo;est bien une sensation d&rsquo;espace que nous avons à bord de l&rsquo;ID. Buzz. Nous n&rsquo;en espérions pas moins d&rsquo;un modèle dont l&#8217;empattement (distance entre les roues) est de&#8230; 2,98 m, une référence rarement atteinte dans le monde automobile. Dernière attention louable, qui devrait ravir les passagers : le nombre de prises USB-C disséminées un peu partout à l&rsquo;intérieur. Il y en a en effet 8 ! </p>

<p class="has-text-align-center"><em>Certains éléments sont « mignons », avec des « silhouettes » d&rsquo;ID. Buzz incrustées au niveau des sièges, par exemple. En revanche, ne vous y trompez pas : si les assemblages sont bons, tous les plastiques sont durs.</em></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Volkswagen ID. Buzz : 204 ch, 100 % électrique</h2>



<p>Volkswagen ne s&rsquo;est pas trop épanché, pour l&rsquo;instant, sur les caractéristiques techniques de l&rsquo;ID. Buzz. Nous savons toutefois qu&rsquo;il reprend la plus grande capacité de batterie des ID.3, ID.4 et ID.5 (soit 77 kWh), couplée à un moteur électrique de 204 ch, soit 150 kW (placé, comme sur les autres modèles électriques de Volkswagen, à l&rsquo;arrière &#8211; le &#8211; minuscule &#8211; capot avant ne s&rsquo;ouvrant que pour accéder, entre autres, au réservoir de liquide lave-glace). </p>

<p>Nous savons également que le Volkswagen ID. Buzz proposera d&rsquo;office la recharge bidirectionnelle (c&rsquo;est-à-dire la possibilité de redistribuer l&rsquo;énergie stockée dans la batterie du véhicule vers un autre appareil électrique, comme une plancha par exemple), et c&rsquo;est une première (Kia et Hyundai étant les seuls, jusqu&rsquo;à présent, à proposer le « V2G » sur leurs véhicules, mais en option).</p>

<p>Fabriqué à Hanovre (Allemagne), les Volkswagen ID. Buzz et ID. Buzz Cargo seront commandables à partir de mai, pour une arrivée en concession et des livraisons prévues à l&rsquo;automne. Nous connaîtrons donc au printemps les spécificités de sa gamme, ainsi que ses prix&#8230; Qui devraient être salés (les rumeurs parlent d&rsquo;un tarif de base autour des 60 000 euros. Pour information, un Citroën ë-SpaceTourer coûte 62 700 euros avec une batterie de 75 kWh. Un Mercedes EQV demande 10 000 euros de plus).</p>
