<p><strong>Contrairement à Peugeot et Renault, qui ne devraient pas renouveler les versions GTi et R.S. de leurs <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/essai-nouvelle-peugeot-208-2019-1-2-puretech-130-ch-graine-de-sacre-numero/44267/">208</a> et <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-renault-clio-v-10-tce-100-intens-la-superclio/33149/">Clio</a>&nbsp;; Toyota prépare une nouvelle Yaris survitaminée. La Toyota Yaris GR-4 – c’est son nom – semble cultiver sa singularité&nbsp;: carrosserie 3 portes, transmission intégrale, et plus de 200 ch sous le capot.</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Toyota Yaris GR-4&nbsp;: bientôt dévoilée</strong></h2>



<p>Depuis quelques mois, Toyota orchestre une savante campagne de communication annonçant la déclinaison sportive de sa <strong>nouvelle Yaris</strong>, révélée en octobre dernier (retrouvez <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/la-nouvelle-toyota-yaris-2019-iv-est-la/45115/">ICI</a> notre article détaillé et <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/decouverte-statique-de-la-nouvelle-toyota-yaris-iv-2020/45126/">LA</a> notre découverte statique). La voiture devait ainsi être présentée en novembre dernier, lors du rallye d’Australie&nbsp;; présentation finalement annulée en raison des incendies qui ont ravagé le pays. Finalement, la <strong>Toyota Yaris GR-4</strong> («&nbsp;GR&nbsp;» pour «&nbsp;Gazoo Racing&nbsp;», le département sportif de la firme nippone) fera ses premiers tours de roues le 15 décembre prochain, durant le <strong>Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival</strong> au Japon.</p>

<p>Ne vous attendez cependant pas à la découvrir sans camouflage&nbsp;: la <strong>Toyota Yaris GR-4</strong> n’enlèvera son apparat que le <strong>10 janvier 2020</strong>. Pour autant, les éléments distillés par le constructeur japonais montrent déjà deux choses&nbsp;: la première, que la <strong>Yaris GR-4</strong> sera disponible en déclinaison 3 portes. La seconde, qu’elle devrait disposer d’une transmission intégrale.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Toyota Yaris GR-4&nbsp;: sportive et singulière</strong></h2>



<p>C’est sans doute ce qui étonne le plus, à l’heure où les carrosseries 3 portes désertent les concessions&nbsp;; au profit des 5 portes et, naturellement, des SUV. La dernière génération de Toyota Yaris a d’ailleurs été dévoilée dans une unique version 5 portes. De fait, plusieurs questions peuvent être posées&nbsp;: est-ce que la Yaris «&nbsp;normale&nbsp;» finira par exister en 3 portes&nbsp;? Est-ce que cette <strong>Toyota Yaris GR-4</strong> existera, quant à elle, aussi, en 5 portes&nbsp;? Réponse(s)… bientôt.</p>

<p>L’autre inconnue, qui devrait cependant se vérifier rapidement, concerne la transmission choisie par cette <strong>Yaris GR-4</strong>. Le «&nbsp;4&nbsp;» de son nom paraît renvoyer à la présence de 4 roues motrices, mais rien n’est sûr pour l’instant. De même, la puissance de son moteur n’est pas encore connue. Nous pouvons néanmoins raisonnablement penser que celle-ci dépassera largement les 200 ch&nbsp;; l’ancienne <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/essais/essai-toyota-yaris-100h-gr-sport-5p-la-doyenne-en-baskets/30477/">Toyota Yaris GRMN</a> développant, déjà, 212 ch (et 249 Nm de couple). Certaines rumeurs annoncent 250 ch. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Nouvelle Toyota Yaris
2019&nbsp;: Corolla(ire)</strong></h2>



<p>Le jeu de mots est facile, mais il faut le dire&nbsp;: la <strong>nouvelle Toyota Yaris 2019</strong> s’inspire, esthétiquement, de sa grande sœur la Corolla. Les lignes sont saillantes, la calandre est grande, et le tout fait preuve d’originalité. Nous sommes loin de la fadeur qui collait, il n’y a pas si longtemps encore, aux carrosseries des Toyota. L’effet boule de nerf est palpable&nbsp;: la longueur globale de la voiture…diminue (de seulement 5 mm, pour ainsi atteindre 3,94 m – ce qui fait de la <strong>Toyota Yaris IV</strong> l’un des plus petits modèles de la catégorie), tout comme la hauteur (1,47 m, soit 50 mm de moins qu’actuellement) tandis que la largeur augmente de 40 mm.</p>

<p style="text-align:center"><em>«&nbsp;Les mains sur le volant, les yeux sur la route&nbsp;»&nbsp;: ce fut la devise des ingénieurs Toyota pour concevoir l’intérieur de la <strong>nouvelle Yaris</strong>&nbsp;! Celle-ci fait la part belle aux écrans&nbsp;: écran central Toyota Touch (tactile), affichage multifonction du tableau de bord et même affichage tête haute couleur de 10 pouces.</em></p>



<p>A l’intérieur, la citadine nipponne gagne en maturité&nbsp;: l’ensemble paraît soigné, et épuré. Pour l’instant, Toyota ne communique pas trop de détails concernant les équipements ou les finitions proposées. Tout juste sait-on que la <strong>nouvelle Toyota Yaris 2019 </strong>pourra proposer, en option ou en série selon le niveau de finition choisi, un chargeur de portable à induction, un système audio JBL ou encore, côté aide à la conduite, un régulateur de vitesse adaptatif. En parallèle, l’habitabilité devrait augmenter de par un empattement allongé, de 50 mm.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Toyota Yaris IV&nbsp;:
nouvelle plate-forme et motorisation hybride</strong></h2>



<p>Nouvelle dehors (et dedans), la <strong>Toyota Yaris IV</strong> l’est aussi dessous. Elle adopte une nouvelle itération de la plate-forme GA, baptisée GA-B (le «&nbsp;B&nbsp;» renvoyant aux modèles citadins de la marque), couplée à un moteur hybride 3 cylindres TNGA «&nbsp;de 4<sup>ème</sup> génération&nbsp;». Ce bloc hybride (1.5 «&nbsp;Dynamic Force&nbsp;») dérive directement des systèmes de plus grosse cylindrée (2.0 et 2.5 litres) qui ont été inaugurés par les Corolla, RAV4 et Camry dernières versions. Toyota promet une puissance combinée en hausse de 15% (soit 115 ch) et une consommation en baisse «&nbsp;de plus de 20%&nbsp;» par rapport à la <strong>Yaris hybride</strong> actuelle. Sur certains marchés, la <strong>nouvelle Toyota Yaris 2019</strong> existera également avec un moteur à essence trois cylindres de 1.5 ou 1.0 litre&nbsp;; le constructeur ne précisant pas si la France fait partie de ces «&nbsp;marchés&nbsp;».</p>

pour Toyota&nbsp;: depuis le lancement du premier opus, en 1999, elle s’est
vendue à 4 millions d’exemplaires en Europe, dont 500.000 hybrides&nbsp;!</em></p>



<p>Toujours fabriquée en France, à Onnaing (près de Valenciennes), la <strong>nouvelle Yaris</strong> sera commercialisée d’ici le début de l’année prochaine. Une version sportive GRMN, actuellement en test, sera dévoilée dans quelques mois. D’ici là, nous aurons l’occasion de reparler de manière plus détaillée de cette <strong>nouvelle Yaris</strong> dans un autre article, puisque nous avons pu l’approcher à Amsterdam, lors d’une présentation à la presse.</p>
