<p><em>Certains designs relèvent des coups de maîtres&nbsp;: la Fiat 500 en fait partie. Dévoilée en 2004 sous les traits du concept car Trepiuno, commercialisée presqu’à l’identique en 2007, la pimpante petite italienne n’affiche aucune ride du haut de ses 12 années de carrière passées, une éternité dans l’automobile. Pourtant basée sur une cubique Panda traction à moteur avant, la Fiat 500 évoquait irrémédiablement les belles lignes de son ainée à moteur arrière. Une gageure. On se demandait bien comment Fiat réussirait à renouveler sa 500 et si ce nouveau design serait aussi réussi&nbsp;: nous avons aujourd’hui la réponse, sous les traits de la nouvelle Fiat 500e. </em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fiat 500 e&nbsp;: dolce voltage</h2>



<p>La Fiat 500 e ne remplace pas tout à fait la Fiat 500. En effet, cette dernière poursuit sa carrière pour quelques années encore&nbsp;! Heureusement qu’elle peut compter sur sa jolie pastique pour continuer de faire craquer la clientèle en dépit de son âge et de quelques défauts. Ceux qui en ont une la savent cependant attachante… sacrée italienne. Mais revenons à cette Fiat 500 e&nbsp;: elle n’a rien à voir avec l’ancienne Fiat 500e commercialisée en Californie et fabriquée au Mexique. Cette nouvelle Fiat 500 e est fabriquée en Italie (la version thermique est quant à elle produite en Pologne) et fait fi de sa vieille base de Panda II, en dépit de dimensions assez similaires à celle de l’actuelle Fiat 500&nbsp;: 3,66 m en longueur, soient 2 centimètres supplémentaires. </p>

<p>Côté batteries, on retrouve un ensemble de 42
kWh, soit près du double de la Twingo ZE (22 kWh) et nettement plus que les VW e-up!
et Honda e (32,3 kWh et 35,5 kWh respectivement). Fiat revendique une autonomie
de 320 km en WLTP et on parle d’une puissance de charge de 85 kW permettant de
charger 85% des batteries en 35 minutes. </p>



<p>Côté puissance, le bloc électrique délivre 118 ch et autoriserait un 0 à 100 km/h en 9,1 secondes, ce qui devrait promettre une bonne vélocité à la nouvelle puce italienne. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fiat 500 e..xpensive&nbsp;!</h2>



<p>La petite italienne réussit l’exploit de ne pas dénaturer le joli look de la version thermique tout en apportant beaucoup de modernité avec son regard perçant le capot autoclave, ses poignées de portes presqu’encastrées dans la ligne de style qui ceinture les flancs, ses nouveaux feux à LED signant la poupe. Mieux encore, elle fait sa révolution à l’intérieur en mêlant le minimalisme, clin d’œil à la version de 1957, et modernité avec son grand écran tactile, son logement pour la charge à induction souligné de commandes diverses. La planche de bord conserve son rappel couleur caisse mais dans une nouvelle mise en scène par rapport au modèle actuel. La qualité perçue semble faire un véritable bond en avant (il faut dire que par endroits, la Fiat 500 cru 2007 était loin d’être chic). Enfin, une console fait son apparition entre les sièges avant et des surpiqûres typographiées FIAT sont du plus bel effet. </p>

<p>D’ailleurs, la capote repend elle aussi à son compte le lettrage FIAT qui tient place de logo à l’arrière… mais pas à l’avant, où un monogramme «&nbsp;500&nbsp;» (le dernier zéro évoquant un «&nbsp;e&nbsp;») ferait presque passer la voiture pour une Audi à 4 anneaux&nbsp;! Alors évoquons les tarifs&nbsp;: la nouvelle Fiat 500 e débuterait aux alentours de 37 900 € avant déduction du bonus. Pas très amical mais difficile de juger tant que l’on ne connaît pas la dotation du véhicule. Electrique, la nouvelle Fiat 500 e peut fièrement répondre au cahier des charges des misogynes&nbsp;: «&nbsp;sois belle et tais-toi&nbsp;»&nbsp;!</p>

<p><em>L&rsquo;éphémère Fiat 500 électrique, ou 500e pour être exact, n&rsquo;a pour l&rsquo;heure vécu que 5 ans entre 2013 et 2018 en Californie. Pourtant, elle va revivre en Europe à partir de 2020 ! L&rsquo;usine de Turin commence expressément à être transformée pour accueillir sa production. Derrière la motorisation, c&rsquo;est aussi le retour de la Fiat 500 en Italie à Mirafiori, puisqu&rsquo;elle est produite pour l&rsquo;heure en Pologne à Tichy.</em></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fiat 500e en Europe : la Fiat 500 électrique arrive enfin !</h2>



<p>Ce jeudi 11 juillet, les premiers robots de la ligne de production de la Fiat 500 électrique ont été installés à Mirafiori (Turin). De quoi rassurer sur le calendrier de lancement, un point sur lequel Fiat dérive souvent. Sauf que cette fois, la promesse d&rsquo;une 500 électrique pour 2020 sera tenue, avec d&rsquo;après le directeur des opérations FCA en Europe Pietro Gorlier, une production<em> « au deuxième trimestre 2020 »</em>.</p>



<p>Mirafiori n&rsquo;est pas un choix anodin : c&rsquo;est la plus grande usine FCA dans le monde, elle est située sur le sol italien et non en Pologne comme le site historique de la « Nuova 500 » situé à Tichy. Ainsi, Fiat peut aussi se targuer de relocaliser la production de la 500 et d&rsquo;investir dans son pays d&rsquo;origine. La production de la 500 électrique à elle seule est calibrée pour 80 000 unités par an, dans un premier temps. La précédente 500e était, elle, produite au Mexique et n&rsquo;a jamais traversé (sauf import réalisé par des personnes privées) l&rsquo;Atlantique. Reste à savoir si la technologie aura évolué entre la 500e d&rsquo;il y a pratiquement 10 ans et celle de « demain », ainsi que le tarif auquel elle sera vendue (on parle pour l&rsquo;instant de 32 000 euros sans aides gouvernementales).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fiat et l&rsquo;électrification à marche&#8230; forcée</h2>



<p> On se souvient du (léger) dédain de Fiat pour l&rsquo;électrification de ses gammes, dont le sommet fut atteint en 2014. A cette époque, le Groupe FCA invitait sérieusement les Californiens à ne pas acheter les 500e, considérant que chaque modèle vendu était une perte de 14 000 dollars ! Depuis, de l&rsquo;eau a coulé sous les ponts et Fiat a annoncé une électrification massive de ses produits, en commençant par la 500 pour les VP, et par le Ducato côté VU. au total, cela représente une investissement de plus de 9 milliards d&rsquo;euros d&rsquo;ici 2022. Dans l&rsquo;attente que ces modèles arrivent, FCA s&rsquo;est assuré de compenser ses émissions de CO2 <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/le-groupe-fca-sassocie-a-tesla-en-europe-pour-le-co2/">par un accord avec Tesla</a>.</p>



<p>Plus récemment, Fiat a présenté à Genève la vision de sa Panda du futur sous la forme du <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/live-geneve-2019-fiat-centoventi/">concept Centoventi</a>. A terme, d&rsquo;ici 2021/2022, ce sont 12 modèles hybrides ou électriques qui sont annoncés dans les gammes du Groupe FCA.</p>

<p>Levons l&rsquo;hypothèse toutefois : peu de chance que ce soit une nouvelle génération. Un nouveau modèle qui se dévoile alors qu&rsquo;aucun prototype n&rsquo;a été vu à l&rsquo;horizon, ça n&rsquo;existe pas&#8230; ou presque. D&rsquo;autant que chez FCA, les projets sont souvent assez longs à venir. En revanche, les séries spéciales naissent assez facilement. </p>



<p>Ainsi chaque année, l&rsquo;on a droit à une voire deux collections de la 500. En avril dernier avait vu le jour la 500 By Harcourt (500 exemplaires), puis en mai dernier, deux finitions Star et Rockstar qui ont rejoint le catalogue. Précédemment, c&rsquo;était <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/fiat-500-by-repetto-ballerine-franco-italienne/">une série Repetto</a> en 2018, qui avait conclu une année où avait vu déjà le jour la 500 Collezione. Côté moteurs, n&rsquo;attendons pas (encore !) de version électrique, celle-ci ayant déjà été annoncée pour 2020.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Une 500 C d&rsquo;inspiration estivale</h2>



<p>La première indication de ces images est que la 500 aura une capote. Donc que ce sera une 500 C. Et vu la saison, les rayures, l&rsquo;inspiration transat, il y aura forcément une légère brise estivale qui soufflera dans l&rsquo;esprit de cette Cinquecento 2019. Le plus fou, ce serait que Fiat ressuscite une Jolly avec sièges en osier portes ajourées ! Mais les normes de sécurité risqueraient de ne pas apprécier. Alors il s&rsquo;agira plus sûrement de coloris et de camaïeux de capote spécifiques, voire d&rsquo;un jeu de jantes et d&rsquo;une sellerie à l&rsquo;aloi. Une chose est sûre : on en saura plus le 4 juillet.</p>
