<p><em>Après le <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAEd47XX6ZI" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BMW Welt</a> et <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/culture/collection/263028/visite-du-motorworld-de-munich-ceci-nest-pas-un-musee/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorworld</a>, on reste à Munich, une des villes saintes du monde automobile, pour visiter cette fois un musée extrêmement intéressant et fourni&nbsp;: on vous emmène à deux pas de Bavariapark et littéralement à deux minutes de notre cher <a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/author/julien-bigerel/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Julien</a> (avoir une équipe internationale, ça aide&nbsp;!), pour découvrir ensemble le Deutsches Verkehrszentrum, ou Centre des Transports, pour ceux qui sont fâchés avec la langue de Goethe et de <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvSITOjdZw8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nitsch</a>. C’est parti pour la visite&nbsp;!</em></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deutsches Verkehrszentrum de Munich&nbsp;: tout ce qui nous transporte</h2>



<p>Et pas seulement les VW Transporter qui y sont exposés&nbsp;: le musée recèle une impressionnante collection répartie sur 12&nbsp;000 m² et éclatée sur 3 pavillons, excusez du peu. Il s’agit d’un bâtiment classé en béton armé ouvert en 1908 dans le cadre de la Foire de Munich. Conçu par l’architecte Wilheim Bertsch, le bâtiment a même accueilli la première de la <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxf3xtH31jA" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Symphonie Numéro 8</a> de Gustav Mahler en 1910.</p>



<p>De nos jours, c’est donc un musée dédié aux transports et à tous les transports qui nous font vibrer : automobiles, voiturettes, mais aussi hélicoptère, tramways, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms6kC-3yq0k&amp;list=PLjIuADMrDKIb3Vkzy31broht0ZHsXfaFE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">trains</a>, engins d’entretien, voitures de course, prototypes, tout y passe ou presque ! Avant d’aborder les trois halls, vous pouvez profiter de notre visite en vidéo… des deux premiers halls, le musée ayant fini par nous chasser ! Lisez donc l’article jusqu’à la fin pour découvrir le dernier hall et ses voitures d’exception (l’une d’elles m’a particulièrement plu par sa rareté et le mythe qui l’entoure). L’entrée est à 8 € et en fait un véritable must si vous passez à Munich.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deutsches Verkehrszentrum&nbsp;: Hall 1</h2>



<p>On pénètre le superbe hall 1, on admire la verrière, à laquelle un hélicoptère est suspendu, on baisse le regard et nous voici devant une marée de voitures hétéroclites sur le thème «&nbsp;Stadtverkehr&nbsp;» (circulation urbaine). On y retrouve pêle-mêle des voitures électriques, mais aussi des voitures propres comme la Trabant 603 (<a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/culture/collection/47622/essai-ostalgie-trabant-601-universal/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">retrouvez notre essai</a>), des icônes allemandes à l’image de la Cocinelle, de l’Opel GT, de la Ford Capri, de la Golf GTI, de la NSU 1000 et Spider ou de la BMW Série 5, de véhicules anciens comme d’anciennes Horch, Steyr, Opel, Citroën et bien d’autres, tandis que des micro-voitures de l’après-guerre comme les Goggomobil, les Messerschmitt ou les Isetta, une palanquée de vélos mais aussi des trains, des tramways et des camions. Bref, du beau monde, admirez plutôt avant de passer au second hall&nbsp;!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deutsches Verkehrszentrum&nbsp;: Hall 2</h2>



<p>Direction le hall 2, sur le thème de l’art du voyage (Kultur der Reisens). Plusieurs locomotives et voitures vous attendent à l’image de cet ICE, tandis qu’une magnifique Citroën DS jaune de 1967 jouxte un car Setra. On retrouve des voitures de diverses époques avec leurs accessoires, comme une Cadillac Eldorado de 1961, une autre Coccinelle avec sa caravane, une Fiat 600 Multipla et même une Adler équipée d’un gazogène (c’était avant qu’on gère les <a href="https://www.europe1.fr/economie/nucleaire-emmanuel-macron-annonce-la-fermeture-de-la-centrale-de-fessenheim-a-lete-2020-3809114" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pénuries</a> avec des cols roulés&nbsp;!). Mais surtout, le clou du spectacle, selon moi, est la magnifique Tatra 77 grise, identique à celle utilisée par les aventuriers Hanzelka et Zikmund (<a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/252130/tour-du-monde-en-tatra-t87-hanzelka-et-zikmund/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">retrouvez ici le récit de leurs formidables aventures</a>)&nbsp;! Mythique et avant-gardiste, elle éclipserait presque les autres voitures exposées autour d’elle.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deutsches Verkehrszentrum&nbsp;: Hall 3</h2>



<p>Visitons enfin le hall 3 que vous n’avez pas pu voir en vidéo mais que nous avions parcouru avant de refaire le tour du musée avec le camescope. Dédié à la Mobilité et à la Technologie, le hall 3 regroupe des voitures de course, dont une F1 Renault à moteur turbo, quelques prototypes intéressants, une jolie NSU Ro80, des ateliers didactiques dédiés à la technique automobile et d’autres expositions temporaires. Vous y verrez aussi la fameuse ou fumeuse Twingo revue et corrigée par Greenpeace qui prétendait avoir significativement baissé la consommation de la voiture mais refusait à quiconque de l&rsquo;essayer ! Le hall 3 recèle surtout une petite merveille&nbsp;: une <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumpler_Tropfenwagen" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rumpler Tropfenwagen</a> (littéralement&nbsp;: «&nbsp;voiture goutte d’eau&nbsp;»)&nbsp;! Produites de 1921 à 1925 à une petite centaine d’exemplaires, la voiture se distingue notamment par un Cx impressionnant de 0,28, une valeur que VW n’a atteint qu’en 1988 avec la Passat. Outre sa forme et son design déroutant pour l’époque, l’habitacle de la Tropfenwagen est également atypique avec un siège avant central et une banquette arrière. Des rares exemplaires ont servi de taxi à Berlin, mais la voiture est surtout passée à la postérité à la suite de l’apparition de plusieurs d’entre-elles à la fin du film Metropolis de Fritz Lang (un must <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BBnMCAIuQg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">disponible ici gratuitement</a>). </p>
