<p><em>Les camions Berliet sont une tradition du salon Epoqu&rsquo;Auto. La Fondation Berliet fait venir quelques camions de sa collection pour rappeler l&rsquo;histoire du constructeur lyonnais. Après </em><a href="https://lenouvelautomobiliste.fr/actualites/salons/epoquauto-2018-les-camions-de-paul-berliet-a-lhonneur/13106/"><em>les camions de Paul Berliet</em></a><em>, en 2018, la thématique choisie en 2019 a trait aux camions de construction et de service. Tour d&rsquo;horizon en images.</em></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Des camions Berliet de 1912 à 1975 à Epoqu&rsquo;Auto 2019</h2>



<p>Installés dans le Hall 6, l&rsquo;exposition Berliet est attenante d&rsquo;un nouveau plateau créé pour cette édition 2019, autour des véhicules utilitaires et des poids lourds. Une proximité toute indiquée pour la thématique autour des services et des véhicules de construction, marquée par la présence de 5 camions de la Fondation Marius Berliet ainsi que d&rsquo;un du musée des Sapeurs Pompiers Lyon Rhône. </p>



<p>Le doyen de ces camions est un Berliet CAD à citerne d&rsquo;arrosage de 1912 de teinte verte : sur roues à bandages pleins en bois, il transporte 3700 litres d&rsquo;eau et participait à l&rsquo;entretien et au nettoyage de Lyon il y a plus d&rsquo;un siècle ! L&rsquo;intérieur était des plus spartiates et se limitait à un volant, des pédales et une banquette&#8230; mais déjà le volant est à droite pour mieux éviter d&rsquo;arroser les piétons sur les trottoirs, une particularité que l&rsquo;on retrouve encore aujourd&rsquo;hui.</p>



<p>Disposé au centre, le tracteur bleu est un Berliet TDR 7W de 1948 à moteur de 7,2 l pour 85 ch. Il a été restauré en 2014 et circulait initialement dans le Doubs à Exincourt. Derrière lui, trois modèles permettent par leur logo de voir l&rsquo;évolution de Berliet et de son emblème. En jaune, c&rsquo;est un camion GCM 5 de 1930, sauvé d&rsquo;une casse de l&rsquo;Ariège en 1988. Sa restauration a réclamé 2500 heures en 1998 afin qu&rsquo;il retrouve fière allure robuste, adaptée à sa mission de travaux publics.</p>



<p>Au centre, c&rsquo;est le plus jeune de tous : un Berliet GBH 280 de 1975. L&rsquo;oeil aguerri aura reconnu la typographie Renault du logo. En effet, RVI le rebadge à partir de 1980 du Losange, et au total 31 000 exemplaires seront produits de ce camion ici présenté en version dépanneuse à 3 essieux. En vert enfin, un GLR M3 de 1965 à moteur « Magic » 9,5 l 180 ch dont la réputation était sans pareille : « <em>il ne casse pas là où les autres consomment des pièces »</em>&nbsp;!</p>



<p>Egalement présent sur le plateau mais n&rsquo;appartenant pas à la Fondation Berliet, un fourgon-pompe Berliet CBA 2 de 1919 est présent, qui sort de 4 ans de restauration ! De quoi lui faire retrouver son lustre de service actif, qu&rsquo;il avait quitté en 1950.</p>



<p>Autour, des clubs exposent également « leurs » Berliet : ainsi du club Patrimoine de Transport Routier Ancien venu avec un GLB 18 4&#215;4 de 1960 de teinte beige et transportant un tracteur sur son plateau ; il est accompagné d&rsquo;un GBC 8M 6&#215;6 Gazelle à moteur 5 cylindres de 1961  similaire au camion du film 100 000 Dollars au soleil.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cinq camions Berliet majeurs</h2>



<p>Issus de la Fondation Berliet, qui conserve plus de 200 véhicules, ces 5 camions ont marqué l&rsquo;histoire de la marque lyonnaise. Au premier plan sur le côté droit de l&rsquo;expo, le Berliet GLR est à l&rsquo;aube de ses 70 ans, qui seront fêtés en 2019. Il s&rsquo;agit ni plus ni moins que du camion du siècle, comme symbole des Trente Glorieuses. Ici dans une version GLR&nbsp;8 M2 de 1960, il possède un moteur 5-cylindres 7,9 litres de 150 chevaux. Produit à plus de 100.000 exemplaires de 1950 à 1986, il est ici présenté dans une versions « Huiles Berliet », une subdivision fondée en 1962.</p>



<p>Proche du GLR stylistiquement, et partageant avec lui son moteur 7,9 litres, le GBC exposé en face est antérieur d&rsquo;une année et date de 1959. Présenté en version 6&#215;6 « adhérence absolue » (<em>i.e.</em> tous les essieux sont moteurs), il sera moins diffusé que le GLR (plus de 32.000 unités tout de même), et traversera en 9 exemplaires le désert du Ténéré entre 1959 et 1960. Il est suivi derrière lui par une Pompe GAK de 1961 réservé aux Pompiers de Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. Sa carrière s&rsquo;est achevée en 1996.</p>



<p>Enfin, deux modèles plus récents sont exposés : un Stradair RS612 de 1965, à la silhouette reconnaissable entre toutes et à la face avant asymétrique, ainsi qu&rsquo;un tracteur TR350 Centaure de 1978 motorisé par un V8 de 356 ch. Il sera assemblé jusqu&rsquo;en 1990.</p>
